Introduction

Due to the ongoing strive to make devices more environmental-friendly, Motorola Germany has sponsored a project to integrate an ozone detector in their cell phones. Instead of initially designing a product that is itself environmentally-friendly, the first step would be to undertake a project that is environmentally-focused - thus, the ozone detector project.

Mission Statement

Our goal is to develop a chip-based Ozone (O3) sensing solution for mobile phone platforms. This would ideally include software that warns the user if high concentrations of Ozone occur. This system would match requirements of current mobile phone systems for size, power consumption, device package types, and reliability.
