Overview:

Power converter input voltage range is specified as the minimum-to-maximum input-voltage span within which the converter will operate and provide a regulated output that complies with the listed line regulation specification.

Procedure:

With the maximum output current, Iout(max), sourced by the converter, increase the input voltage Vin until it reaches it listed maximum limit Vin (max). Observe the output voltage and verify that it has remained within the accuracy specification range of the output voltage.
Next, decrease the input voltage Vin until it reaches its listed minimum limit Vin (min). Observe the output voltage again and verify that it has remained within the specified output voltage accuracy range.
